Panthers NFL Team Preview – Super Bowl Odds

The Panthers 2010 NFL season marks the start of a new era in Carolina. After seven years as the Panthers starting quarterback; Jake Delhomme has moved on to the Cleveland Browns. The Panthers now turn to QB Matt Moore to bring this proud franchise back to respectability. Moore sparked the Panthers in 2009 with four wins in his five starts to close out the season.

Major online sportsbooks are not expecting a big year in Carolina. The Panthers 2010 win total is posted 7.5 with the OVER at +120 and the UNDER -150 at Bodog.com

Carolina Panthers NFL Roster

QB Moore will be joined in the Panthers backfield by running backs DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart who will both be busy during the 2010 NFL season. There are more questions than answers in the Panthers receiving core. WR Steve Smith will be the WR1 and a cast of thousands will battle for the rest of the looks.

Rookie WR Brandon LaFell out of Louisiana State University is currently practicing as the WR2 opposite Smith. The Panthers us their tight ends as blockers more than pass catchers so there isn’t much to report on the TE position. John Kasay will handle the place kicking duties for the Panthers.

It could be another long year in Carolina as the Panthers are listed as the third favorite at +1000 to win the NFC South.

Panthers Championship Outlook

The Panthers are just one season removed from a 12-4 NFC South winning record but it seems like ages ago. Carolina appears to be in a rebuilding mode and they are listed at 25/1 to win the 2010 NFC Championship.

Carolina Panthers Super Bowl XLV Odds

The Carolina defense is good enough to win a few games for Panthers during the 2010 NFL season. If they get productive play out of the quarterback position and control their games with a power running attack, the Panthers could surprise a lot of teams. Odds makers around the world including those at Bookmaker.com would be surprised as well as the Panthers are listed at +7800 to win Super Bowl XLV.
