Kickoff for Super Bowl XLVI is now just a couple of hours away. After hours of homework, its time to lay it all on the line as the Patriots battle the Giants. We are in a vast minority, but we like the Brady Bunch to hoist the Vince Lombardi Trophy later today!

From the NFL lockout, to a shortened preseason, through a roller coaster of a regular season and a semi predictable posteseason, we have finally arrived at Super Bowl XLVI. It’s the AFC Champion New England Patriots versus the NFC Champion New Giants for all the marbles – again!

Kickoff for the biggest day in sports betting is now just hours away at 6:29 PM on Sunday, February 5, 2012, from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.

>>> Bet on Super Bowl XLVI at TopBet <<<

New England vs. New York: SB XLVI Game Day Preview

We have been studying this match-up, along with discussing it, for two weeks now. This will be our final word on Super Bowl XLVI prior to kickoff. Makes no bones about it, this was a very difficult contest to handicap. The public likes the G-Men and, just like 2008, we are not in that same camp.

On one hand we have the high flying New York Football Giants who have crushed all-comers since Week 16 of the 2011 NFL regular season. On the other hand we have the New England Patriots who are back in the big game for the fifth time in elven years.

Tom Brady is looking to join his boyhood idle Joe Montana, and Steeler great Terry Bradshaw, as the only quarterbacks with four Super Bowl wins. Eli Manning is trying to take the mantle from big brother Peyton as the best QB from Archie’s house. We’ll back the vet with a chip on his shoulder.

New England head coach Bill Belichick is trying to tie Steelers lengendary field general Chuck Noll for most Super Bowl wins with four. Giants head man Tom Coughlin is trying to beat the Patriots for the third time in as many tries. Colonel Coughlin will also get in on the “Greatest Coaches Ever” talk if he can capture his second Super Bowl title in five years. We don’t see that happening.

Super Bowl XLVI Betting Lines – Patriots vs. Giants Free Picks & Predictions

Though it has bounced around between -2.5 and -3 in favor of the Patriots, it looks like the line is going to settle in at a field goal at most online betting websites. That’s the case at TopBet.com who have the Patriots as -3 (-105) point chalk and -130 as money line favorites.

You can also back the Giants at +3 (-115) on the spread and +110 on the ML. The Total opened at 55 points on most betting boards but the number has since dropped to 53.5 (-110) at TopBet.

Back in 2008 we were all over the Patriots as double digit chalk and we were in a huge minority then as well. Our day didn’t go to well back in Super Bowl XVII and we’ve been a little gun shy on New England ever since. That said, we think that Billy Ball with have some answers for Major Tom’s offensive army and that QB Tom Brady will expose a suspect G-Men secondary.

While we aren’t big on predicting scores – big games require big balls. We like the Patriots 27-20 over the Giants. Our predicited 47 points means the Game Total will stay UNDER the number.

With three passing touchdowns, we will also take Tom Brady to earn the Super Bowl MVP honor to round out the Super Bowl XLVI big four sports betting options. Good Luck and Enjoy The Game!

With just hours to go before the kickoff of Super Bowl XLVi, today we take a look five reasons why bettors may want to back the Patriots over the Giants. If you believe the team with the better coach, quarterback, and tightends will win - pound on the Patriots!

With kickoff now just hours away for Super Bowl XLVI, we present five reasons why bettors may want to consider the New England Patriots over the New York Giants to make a winning Super Bowl Bet.

Wagering windows are open until game time, and throughout the Super Bowl, at many of our top ranked online Sportsbooks like Diamond Sports International.

>>>Bet Super Bowl XLVI At BetDSI<<<

Hall Of Fame Coach Bill Belichick: Master Of The Bye Week

Not many coaches in the NFL are more successful at game planning than Bill Belichick of the Patriots. Since the 2003 season, New England sports an 11-2 record when The Hoodie has had two weeks to prepare for a team. That’s damn good game planning.

Captain Comeback Tom Brady Brushes Off Bad Past Performances

By his own admission, Patriots QB Tom Brady “sucked” against the Ravens in the AFC Championship game (0 TD 2 INT). Since 2009, when Brady has thrown equal or more INT to TD passes in a game, he has come back with 23 TD, 5 INT, and 2,742 pass yards the 11 times it has happened.

Top Notch Tight Ends Take Flight In Indianapolis

While there are some major concerns about the high ankle sprain suffered by Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski during Championship Weekend, New England still sports the best TE combo in the NFL and they have a QB who gets them the ball. Expect a big day from Gronk and/or Aaron Hernandez.

New England Defense: Bend But Don’t Break

People have been bashing the Patriots defense all season and throughout the playoffs. What they fail to realize is that while New England can give up a ton of yards, they were still 15th overall in points against. New York on the other hand ranked 25th during the 2011 season allowing 25 PPG.

Hurry Up And Play Keeps The Giants Defense At Bay

Look for the Patriots to play Super Bowl on offense like a house on fire. The hurry up momentum New England brings can be lethal – especially if they get down in the game. They put it to good use coming back from down 17-0 and 21-0 the last two weeks of the regular season to register wins.

Kickoff for Super Bowl XLIV is scheduled Sunday, February 5, 2012, from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana, at 6:29 PM ET. We like the Patriots to earn a measure of redemption as they take down the Giants this time around.

>>> If Feel Like We Do – Back The Patriots At BetDSI <<<

Today we present Super Bowl betting tips and five reasons for backing the New York Giants during Super Bowl XLVI on Sunday, February 5, 2012, from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN. We're not saying they'll win - but if the G-Men do - here's why!

We are now under 48 hours away from Super Bowl XLVI. Wagering lines are humming smoother than a fine-tuned Ferrari and the anticipation level continues to rise. Get in on the action at Bookmaker!

We live in a connected world and we have a fantastic match-up with this New England Patriots vs. New York Giants Super Bowl rematch. There’s always a ton of talk leading up to the big game but, world-wide connectivity has taken the chatter to a stratospheric level.

>>>Bet On Super Bowl XLVI At Bookmaker <<<

Big Blue Has The Better Overall Defense

A lot of talk leading up to Super Bowl XLVI has focused on the Giants offense and the 28.7 points per game they have posted over their recent 6-1 winning streak. Since a thrilling 37-34 win over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 14, the Giants defense has not allowed more than two touchdowns in any game. In a span of six games, the G-Men have held their opponents to 12.8 points per game.

Two Amigos – Plus One: The Giants Wide Receivers

New York has been flying high with speedy receivers Victor Cruz and Hakeem Nicks. This dynamic dual has accounted for 74 receptions, 1,371 receiving yards, along with seven touchdowns, over their last seven games. The Plus One is unheralded WR Mario Manningham. Acting more as a slot, possession type receiver, Manningham has TD catch in three straight games. If the Patriots over compensate with their coverage of the Two Amigos – the Plus One can burn them.

Threat Out Of The Backfield – Power Back Dual

Playing with nicks and bruises all season, the Giants backfield has only been together as a unit since about Week 13. Ahmad Bradshaw and Brandon Jacobs are not the fastest guys in the NFL but they can both take the punishment that comes with running between the tackles. Since Week 13, the Bradshaw/Jacobs combo has produced 978 total yards and eight touchdowns. When the Patriots overload to stop the pass, either of these backs can hit pay dirt up the middle.

Confidence From A Tough Schedule

New York has played teams with a combined 82-46 record over the past eight weeks. By contrast, the Patriots have played teams with a 55-70 record over the same time period. The Giants had quality games against the Packers (15-1) twice, along with the 49ers (13-3) and the Falcons (10-6) once each, over the last eight weeks. Prior to the AFC Championship battle with Baltimore Ravens, New England had not played a team with a winning record since they lost 25-17 to the Steelers during NFL Week 8 action.

Been There – Done That – Do It Again?

Much like the Green Bay Packers last season, the Giants have been in playoff mode since Week 16 and they have won five straight contests. One more win by the G-Men and we have back-to-back Super Bowl Champs that will have needed to win four games to grab the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

New York also needed four to win four games to take down Super Bowl XLII as they defeated the Buccaneers, Cowboys, and Packers, before shocking the 18-0 Patriots in the 2008 Super Bowl.

Kickoff for Super Bowl XLVI is slated for 6:29 PM ET on Sunday, February 5, 2012, from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN. Get in on the betting excitement with the Bookmaker.com Sportsbook!

Today we present a prediction on the jersey number worn by the player who will score the first touchdown of Super Bowl XLVI when the Patriots and Giants square off on Sunday. We like it to be through the air and big number!

As we patiently wait out the countdown to Super Bowl XLVI, today we take a look at the “First Player to Score a TD jersey #” prop betting odds posted at BetOnline.

This proposition wagering option will come off the board just prior to kickoff. Be sure to get in on the action prior to the start of Super Bowl XLVI from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana, on Sunday, February 5, 2012, at 6:29 PM ET. That’s 67 hours and counting down!

>>>BetOnline SB XLVI Prop Betting<<<

1st Player to Score a TD: Jersey Number Prop Betting

A little digging was required but we have done the homework to give our readers a couple of educated predictions. This bet requires some luck but knowing your options is always a good thing!

Not to be confused with the first “SCORE” of the game, this prop wagering option requires bettors to predict whether the jersey number will be OVER or UNDER 80.5 for the player that scores the first touchdown of Super Bowl XLVI.

WR Mario Manningham, Hakim Nicks, and TE Jake Ballard are 81 and above for the Giants. TE Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez, along with WR Wes Walker and Deion Branch, wear high numbers for the Patriots.

On the low side of the number, the G-Men feature QB Eli Manning, RB Brandon Jacobs and Ahmad Bradshaw, along with WR Victor Cruz. QB Tom Brady, RB BenJarvus Green-Ellis and Kevin Faulk, as well as WR Julin Edelman all wear a number that’s under 80.5 in this contest.

Past Betting Trends for the OVER/UNDER Jersey Number TD Prop Bet

This wagering option has gone UNDER 27 times and OVER 18 times in the past 45 Super Bowl contests. The OVER has paid the last two years and snapped a run of four straight by the UNDER that had cashed in seven of the last eleven games. Patriots RB #39 Laurence Maroney was the first player to score a TD the last time these two clubs met in Super Bowl XLII

Eleven of the last 20 opening touchdowns have come via the pass, seven via the run, while one was a kick return, and the other was an interception return. Twelve of those 20 touchdowns were scored by a number that was UNDER, while eight went to players wearing an OVER number.

If TE Rob Gronkowski was 100% healthy, we would solidly be in the corner of OVER – believing the first TD will go to the Patriots and be via the air. Victor Cruz sneaking in UNDER with #80 is one of the few reasons to consider the UNDER. If you feel the first TD will be scored on the ground, you have to take the UNDER here.

We are going to follow the two year trend and back a receiver to score the first TD of Super Bowl XLVI. Quarterback Tom Brady to one of his talented tight ends is our bet here!

>>> Stay tuned for more Super Bowl XLVI Free Picks and Predictions <<<

Super Bowl XLVI Opening Kickoff Prop Wagering Odds

With over 500 proposition-betting lines available on Super Bowl XLVI, the job of sorting through them can be a daunting task. We have been scanning all of the prop options and will present some of the more captivating ones as we head closer to kickoff.

We start with the Bovada prop bet posted as “Super Bowl XLVI – Team to receive the opening kickoff” wagering option. New England won the coin toss in seven of their 16 games during the 2011 NFL regular season. Head coach Bill Belichick elected to defer and the opposition received the ball all seven times.

Further to that, dating back to September 7, 2008, New England has won the coin toss 28 times. The Patriots received the second half kickoff all 28 times they won those coin flips. The Pats won the toss to start the AFC Divisional contest against Baltimore two weeks back and deferred as the Ravens accepted the opening kickoff.

By contrast, the last 22 times the G-Men have had the option to receive the opening kickoff, whether by winning the toss or having the decision deferred to them, they have elected to receive the ball 20 times. The two times they didn’t take the ball, the Giants deferred and the opponent elected to receive. New York won the toss during Super Bowl XLII and elected to receive the kickoff.

Bovada Super Bowl XLVI Proposition Betting Lines: Giants vs. Patriots

We turn to Bovada.com for the “Team to receive the opening kickoff” prop betting line for Super Bowl XLVI. The sportsbook at Bovada is packed with over 500 prop betting options and will be offering betting lines throughout Super Bowl XLVI.

Jump out of the Super Bowl XLVI betting gates as a winner - when you try your luck at the 50/50 wager on whether the Patriots or Giants will win the coin toss. Heads has been streaking with four wins out of five, including three straight.

A prop bet that always get glossed over as just a 50/50 proposition wager is the opening coin toss of any Super Bowl. While it’s theoretically true, with just two betting options, there’s a lot of history to draw from if you are participating in this guess wagering on SB XLVI.

Don’t forget to get this wager in well prior to kickoff which is scheduled for 6:29 PM ET on Sunday, February 5, 2012, from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN.

>>> Bet On The Coin Toss At TopBet <<<

NFC Dominates The Annual Super Bowl Coin Toss

Though the title may seem a little exaggerated – until you realize that the National Football Conference has a record of 31-14 when it comes to coin toss wins, including the last 14 in a row.

That record of 14 in a row is almost mind boggling as it means the AFC has been wrong on seven straight calls, while the NFC has been correct on their last seven calls. The NFC can make it 15 straight as the Giants get to call the flip prior to Super Bowl XLVI.

New England was the last team from the American Football Conference to get the coin toss right as they called “HEADS” prior to Super Bowl XXXI against the Green Bay Packers.

In that contest the Patriots won the toss and elected to receive – they ran five plays with QB Drew Bledsoe at the helm and punted. Green Bay, led by QB Brett Favre then went 55 yards in two plays to go up 7-0 and never looked back in a 35-21 throttling of New England.

Heads Or Tails: You Make The Call For Super Bowl XLVI

Conventional wisdom states a coin tossed 100 times has a chance at landing either side up 50% of the time. That is also fairly factual when it comes to the Super Bowl coin flip.

Over the past 45 Super Bowls, Tails has come up 23 times and Heads 22 times – including the last three tosses. Neither side has had a run greater than four years in a row as Heads has done it once and Tails twice.

Prior to the three straight wins by Heads, Tails had run off a 9-2 record including four straight wins twice. The recent run by Heads is their third 3-peat (not counting their run of four straight) and Tails stopped the streak of the previous two runs.

It’s not rocket science but we’ll go with the Giants being wrong with a call of TAILS, the Patriots deferring, and New England kicking off to New York to get Super Bowl XLVI underway.

With Super Bowl XLVI still a week away, football fans get the 2012 NFC vs. AFC Pro Bowl to satisfy their NFL football appetite this weekend. It'll be bombs away all day as the NFC should dominate the AFC in this one!

With Super Bowl XLVI still a week away, NFL fans can get their football fix as the 2012 NFL Pro Bowl goes today. Top stars of the NFL, minus the players playing in the Super Bowl, line up for this annual NFC versus AFC battle. The 42nd edition of the modern day Pro Bowl has the NFC with a 21-20 series led.

This sun soaked NFL All Star football contest has its kickoff slated for 7:00 PM ET on Sunday, January 29, 2012, from Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii.

>>> Bet On The NFL 2012 Pro Bowl At TopBet <<<

2012 NFL Pro Bowl: NFC Starting Quarterbacks

If you happen to be a fan of fun, sun, and offensive football, then Hawaii is the place to be this weekend as the stars of the NFL are set to light up the skies in Honolulu on the island of Oahu.

After a regular season that saw quarterbacks pass for record numbers, there’s no reason to expect that we won’t see more of the same in this contest. Packers QB Aaron Rodgers, who set a new record with a 122.5 passer rating, gets the nod as the starter for the NFC.

Rodgers is joined by New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees, who set a new single season total passing yards mark with 5,476 yards through the air. Panthers rookie QB Cam Newton may outshine both of the veterans as he should see the most playing time for the NFC in this contest.

AFC Starting Quarterbacks: 2012 NFL Pro Bowl

Though they didn’t put up the same numbers as their NFC counterparts the AFC has some firepower under center as well. Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger gets the start for the AFC. We aren’t totally sure how or why Big Ben is playing in this contest, and he won’t play long.

Chargers QB Philip Rivers, who along with Brees and Peyton Manning became the third QB in NFL history to pass for 4,000 plus yards in four consecutive seasons, joins rookie Andy Dalton from the Bengals as the other AFC quarterbacks.

If you are betting on Pro Bowl, the QB advantage is slanted dramatically in the favor of the National Football Conference. Back the NFC to win the 2012 NFL Pro Bowl – if you have to bet on it at all!

As eloquently song by the Chairman of the Board, "start the spreading the news". Can the Niners get back to the Super Bowl for the first time since they won it on 1994? Or will the G-Men continue on their 2007 style playoff run? We're about to find out!

Welcome to our NFC Championship game preview that’s accompanied by our prediction for the big game. It’s not the Packers vs. Saints final we dreamed of, but this is still a great match-up between historic NFL franchises.

Unlike the AFC Championship, that has the top two seeds battling it out, we get the #2 San Francisco 49ers hosting the #4 ranked New York Giants on the NFC side. It will retro day as these teams last meet in the NFC Title game back during the 1990 NFL season.

>>> Bet On The NFC Championship Playoff Action At Bovada <<<

49ers vs. Giants: NFC Championship Game Day Preview

With a trip to Super Bowl XLVI on the line, kickoff for this NFL Playoff betting action is slated for 6:30 PM ET, on Sunday, January 22, 2012, from Candlestick Park, in San Francisco, CA.

San Francisco (13-3 Home 7-1) after compiling a 46-82 record dating back to the 2003 season, were a stellar 13-3 during the 2011 NFL regular season. The 49ers are back in the playoffs for the first time since the 2002 season when they defeated the Giants 39-38 in the Wild Card round.

New York (9-7 Road 5-3) struggled through the 2011 NFL regular season but they have now pounded the Atlanta Falcons, and shocked the defending Super Bowl Champion Packers, in the 2011 Playoffs. The G-Men are looking to get to their fifth Super Bowl (3-1) in the past 26 years.

NFC Championship Recent History & Betting Trends

Looking back on recent NFC Championship betting trends, we find a path that’s been dominated by the Dogs. Dating back to the 1998 NFL season the underdogs own an impressive 8-4 record against the spread. The Packers covered in the 2010 NFC Title game – halting a run of three straight covers by the pups. Home teams have 6-4 straight up record in the last ten NFC Championship games.

Game total bettors have padded their bankroll by betting on the OVER in recent NFC Title games. Last years Packers vs. Bears tilt stayed UNDER the line, but the OVER has been golden in seven of the past ten contests. The Giants last win, 23-20 in 2007 over the Packers, surpassed the total.

Today’s 42 point line has been the number twice, in the last 23 contests, and stayed under both times. Game totals of 42 points or greater have a 10-5 record favoring the OVER since 1989.

NFL Playoff Betting Odds: New York vs. San Francisco Free Pick Prediction

We turn to brand new Sportsbook at Bovada.com for the betting lines on our Free Pick Prediction. If you are looking for LIVE sports betting, throughout this contest, Bovada is the place to be!

After getting over the initial disappointent, of not getting a Saints vs. Packers NFC Championship, we have warmed up to this match-up some. New York has been in playoff mode for five weeks now and are as close to healthy as possible. San Fran and New York have both won four straight games.

New York is one of the best road teams in the league as proven by the fact that they won four straight road games to capture Super Bowl XLII. Big Blue has had at least one player with over 100 yards receiving in eight of their last nine games. The G-Men also bring a vastly different (read better) defense to the table than the one served up by the Saints last weekend.

San Francisco delivers a steady, though not spectacular, mix of pass and catch on offense, while they punish teams with a super fast moving defense. The 49ers have not had a running back gain over 89 yards in nine straight games. In contrast to the Giants passing machine, the Niners had just three receivers with over 100 yards during the regular season.

Back in Week 10, the start of a Giants four game losing streak, San Francisco scored a 27-20 home win over New York. The game was close as SF stopped a 16 play NY drive, that went for 52 yards and ended at the Niners ten yard line, to seal the win. Ahmad Bradshaw sat out that game and the G-Men are a much better offense when he is on the field – as he will be Sunday.

Eli Manning will need to be aware of Niners cornerback Carlos Rogers after the first time Pro Bowler picked him off twice back in the Week 10 contest. A Giants win gets them a rematch of the previously mentioned Patriots Super Bowl game, or the Super Bowl XXXV loss to the Ravens.

While the future is bright in San Francisco, and they have a tough as nails defense, we see their 2011 run ending today. As is the case in the Patriots vs. Ravens AFC Championship, the better QB will be the deciding factor in this contest. Start spreading the New York vs. New England news.

>>> Back NYG over SF at +3 (-135) with the Bovada Point Spread <<<

Countdown to AFC Championship Sunday is on as we feature the Baltimore Ravens visiting the New England Patriots for the right to play in Super Bowl XVLI in Indianapolis on February 5, 2012 at Lucus Oil Stadium.

Championship Sunday is almost upon us and things are as they should be in the American Football Conference. The two best teams in the AFC are set to battle it out from the giant shaving can in the land of Chowder.

It’s the blazing aerial attack of the New England Patriots, up against the ground pounding, defensive minded, Baltimore Ravens for the right to play in Super Bowl XLVI. Is there a Pats vs. G-Men re-match looming?

>>> Bet on the AFC Championship at TopBet <<<

Ravens @ Patriots: AFC Title Game Preview

Kickoff for this NFL playoff betting action is slated for 3:00 PM ET, on Sunday, January 22, 2012, from Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts. The weather angle is calling for cloudy and cold!

New England (14-3 Home 8-1) played lights out against Denver as they came off their playoff bye week and busted up the Broncos 45-10 during Divisional Playoff action last weekend.

Securing home field advantage was crucial for the Patriots this season as QB Tom Brady is now 9-2 in home playoff games. New England is trying to get back to the Super Bowl for the fifth time in eleven seasons and the lucky number seventh time in franchise history.

Baltimore (13-4 Road: 4-4 away) came out of their playoff bye week with a relatively flat effort but were still able to dispatch of the Houston Texans 20-13 last weekend. Not securing the AFC 2011 regular season title could be fatal to the Purple Birds.

Being on the road was not good for Baltimore this season as they went 4-4 and lost to the likes of the lowly Jaguars and Seahawks. The Ravens will make it to the Super Bowl, for the second time in their 16 year history, with an upset win.

AFC Championship: Point Spread and Game Total Betting Trends

Homes teams in the AFC Championship are on a pretty decent run as the last five homies have won straight up and have covered as chalk in four of five contests. The lone exception was the Patriots who defeated the San Diego Chargers 21-12 in the 2007 AFC Championship game but failed to cover the monster 14 point spread.

It hasn’t always been that way though as the visitors had won six of the previous nine games, including the Patriots 24-17 loss to the Steelers as -10 point home favorites during the 2001 NFL season. Chalk teams are 7-3 since 2001 and have covered three straight.

In the Super Bowl era, dating back to the 1966 NFL season, total scoring in AFC Championship history has gone over 50 points nine times during the 45 games played. Recently, the AFC Title game has been like a well flowing ATM for OVER bettors. The total has gone past the line in three straight games and eight of the last ten contests.

New England Patriots vs Baltimore Ravens: Betting Lines and Free Pick

We surf over to TopBet.com for our Patriots vs. Ravens Free Pick wagering odds for the 2011 AFC Championship tilt. As a bright new beacon on the sports betting landscape, the sportsbook at TopBet will have betting lines posted throughout this contest – which should an instant classic in NFL lore.

Of the many tools we employ when doing our NFL handicapping research is taking a look at the correlation between Fantasy Football and how the games play out on the field.

One area we found what could be considered as a red flag is the Baltimore defense against tight ends during the 2011 NFL regular season. The Ravens covered the TE position with a blanket this season has they tied for second for the league low with three touchdowns allowed to the position.

They were also second in yards allowed at 665 (41.5 PG). Aaron Hernandez and Rob Gronkowski were held to a combined 85 yards and no scores in the Ravens vs. Patriots 2010 tilt won by New England 23-20 in Foxboro during the 2010 NFL season.

That said, the Ravens allowed three TD catches, two by Cleveland (Evan Moore) in Weeks 13 and 17 and one by Indianapolis (Jacob Tamme) in Week 14 to close out the season. We have our doubts that a defense with 14 players on the field could cover the dynamic dual in New England.

In the Year of the Quarterback, not to mention the TE position, we like the vastly superior pivot in this contest. New England is on a mission, they are on fire, and they get to play in their own backyard. We would even venture a bet that Bill Belichick and the Brady Bunch would welcome a Super Bowl re-match against QB Eli Manning and the G-Men. We all know how that ended.

We liked Baltimore as the AFC Super Bowl finalist all the way back to August. If this contest was being played in M&T Bank Stadium we would be tempted to back the Purple Birds. One or two loses on the road can be shrugged off – losing four times, to teams with a 29-35 record, is a trend.

>>> Back NE over BAL at -7.5 (-110) with the TopBet Point Spread <<<

We had a blowout and a thriller during NFL Saturday Divisional play and we look for another exciting contest in this one. The Green Bay Packers play the New York Giants for the third time in the past thirteen months. The Pack have owned the G-Men recently – a trend we see continuing today.

Kickoff for this NFC Divisional Playoff battle is slated for 4:30 PM ET, on Sunday, January 15, 2012, from Lambeau Field, in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Giants @ Packers Divisional Playoff Preview

A frosty cold Green Bay, Wisconsin welcomes the Giants as they get set to face the Packers. Green Bay has won 14 straight games at Lambeau Field as they have not lost at home since a 23-20 October 17, 2010 loss to the Miami Dolphins.

New York has been a steadily improving team since Week 14 as they have won four of their last five contests including a 24-2 beat down of the Atlanta Falcons during Wild Card weekend. They’ve been doing it with improved health on both sides of the ball.

NFL Divisional Playoff Betting Lines: Packers vs. Giants

We turn “Where The Line Originates” for the lines on this crucial NFC Divisional Playoff matchup. To be a Champion, you have to beat a Champion – that’s exactly what the Giants face here.

Green Bay won the last contest played at Lambeau against the Giants by a 45-17 count. On that day, back in Week 16 of the 2010 season, the G-Men didn’t have an answer for Packers QB Aaron Rodgers as the reigning Super Bowl MVP passed for 404 yards and four touchdowns.

Lots of talk has been about the Giants getting healthy on defense as well as the running game kicking it up with the return of star RB Ahmad Bradshaw. We don’t see either factors being enough to knock of the Champs. The Packers roll on to face the 49ers next weekend!
