One key point here is the loss of center Maurkice Pouncey (high ankle sprain) for the Steelers. In the AFC Championship game his replacement, Doug Legursky, struggled with some of the snaps and when defending the Jets pass rush. One such instance resulted in a safety to quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.
