Defending NFC Champion SF 49ers Top Favorites To Repeat

Preseason National Football League action has hit the gridiron and, although we aren’t big fans of exhibition contests in any sport, we’re very excited that the 2013 NFL regular season is now just a short 29 days away.

Today we take a look at the futures wagering prices to win the 2014 NFC Championship as posted on the big betting board at the Bovada online sportsbook. 2013 Champion San Francisco 49ers are the top chalk.

Bovada posts the 49ers as NFC Championship top chalk

Led by rookie quarter Colin Kaepernick, not to mention rock solid defense, the San Francisco 49ers stormed past the Green Bay Packers and Atlanta Falcons to capture the 2013 NFC Championship. Although we aren’t in full agreement, the bookmakers at the bovada.lv have posted the Niners to repeat and have tagged them with a 4/1 price. Do the Niners have enough offense to repeat?

Upstart Seattle Seahawks are listed as second chalk to win the NFC Title

It’s going to be a wild ride in the NFC West this season as the Seattle Seahawks have been posted as the second favorites at 5/1 to play in Super Bowl XLVII on February 2, 2014 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. The Seashwaks are led by dynamic young QB Russell Wilson, a defense that we feel is better than the Niners crew, plus the best home field advantage in the National Football League.

Packers, Falcons and Saints round out the top five NFC Championship contenders

In the offensively minded National Football Conference it’s no surprise that three scoring machines round out the top five NFC Championship contenders. The Aaron Rodgers led Green Bay Packers are third on the board with 11/2 odds, Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons have a 7/1 line, and the Drew Brees led New Orleans Saints round out the top five with a 10/1 NFC Championship price.
