Mavericks Visit New-Look Sixers on Friday Night in Philadelphia

Following the NBA trading deadline, the 76ers have a new look as they host the Mavericks on Friday night at the Wells Fargo Center. Gone are Evan Turner, Lavoy Allen and Spencer Hawes as Dallas comes to the City of Brotherly Love. We will take the Mavericks in a romp on Friday night as the Sixers drop their 10th straight game.

Dallas holding strong to eighth spot in the West

The Mavericks are holding onto the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference by their teeth. As they head off on a road trip against three teams that they can easily beat, the Mavericks hold destiny in their hands right now. They are just one-game ahead of the Grizzlies in the standings, so they need to bunch some wins together and put some room between them and Memphis.

Sixers sinking quicker with each passing game

As the Sixers front office unloaded a bunch of players on Thursday for future draft picks, the league took notice of their plans. Philadelphia, in a massive rebuilding phase, has been trying to compile as many draft picks as possible. They were able to acquire a handful of picks on Thursday by trading away three key cogs of the club. The only major name from the previous core is Thad Young. Now, the team will look to build around Young, Michael Carter-Williams and Nerlens Noel.

With Dallas playing to a 7-3 mark in their last 10 games, and the Sixers losing nine straight games, we have to bet on the Mavericks to take this game easily on Friday night. We will place 20 percent of our bankroll on the Mavericks as they are road chalk by 13.5 points over the 76ers. We will place our bets at the online sportsbook found at Bovada.lv as the league enjoys its second-half of the season.
