Diamondbacks Take on Giants in Search of Wins Early in the Season

MLB action features the Diamondbacks and Giants for an NL West tilt on Wednesday night from the City by the Bay. Arizona has struggled mightily to start the season, recording just two wins, while the Giants have enjoyed a 6-2 start. This is just the second game of the season for San Francisco at home, but we like them to win this game over their division rivals.

Giants off to good start to the season

San Francisco has played to a 6-2 mark to open their schedule, but are just 1-0 at home. A 5-2 road mark is pretty good to start a season as they welcome the Diamondbacks to town for game two of a three-game set. The Giants grabbed the win in their home opener on Tuesday by a final score of 7-3. Expect much of the same on Wednesday night when they send Tim Lincecum to the mound.

Diamondbacks in desperate need of wins early

Arizona has begun their 2014 campaign with a 2-8 mark and desperately need wins, especially since they are facing a division rival right now. Arizona is 1-3 on the road and have shown no signs of turning things around anytime soon. Just 10 games into the season and there is already talk of manager Kirk Gibson being in jeopardy of losing his job. If things do not get better quickly, Gibson could be shown the door very quickly.

Any NL West game featuring rivals such as the Giants and Diamondbacks will surely feature fireworks, but with Arizona struggling so much to begin the season, we don’t think this game will have much flare. We will back the Giants to grab the win at home when we bet 15 percent of our bankroll on San Francisco and the -127 money line over at the online sportsbook found at SportsBetting.ag. Enjoy the game and the late night.
