NHL 2012 Stanley Cup Final: Los Angeles Kings Poised To Win It

Few events on the sports wagering calendar take on the magic and mystic of the National Hockey League Stanley Cup Finals. Throw in a couple of unlikely combatants and the intrigue level ramps up that much higher. Devils vs.Kings – it’s going to be a Cup Classic!

We are excited about the 2012 battle for Lord Stanley’s Mug and we can’t wait for the puck drop on May 30, 2012, from the Prudential Center in New Jersey.

Los Angeles Kings – Time To Get On The Bandwagon

If you have been following us here at Sportsbook Review, or at one of our sister websites, you know that we have been riding on the Kings bandwagon since the playoffs began way back in April. We liked Los Angeles over the battle weary Vancouver Canucks (they played to a seven game Stanley Cup Final last season) and because of Jonathan Quick – Kings 4-1 series win.

Top Three Western Conference Seeds Get Crowned By The Kings

After knocking off the No. 1 seeded Canucks, the Kings made quick work of the No. 2 ranked St. Louis with a 4-0 sweep as they out scored an over-matched Blues team by a 18-6 total goal count. Up next, Los Angeles got a break on travel as they faced No. 3 seed Phoenix. This series was never in doubt as Los Angeles registered 4-1 win (14-8 GF/A) to reach the Cup Final or the second time in Kings history and first since 1993. We like this club to keep rolling in the Stanley Cup Final.

A trip to the Swamp in New Jersey won’t phase a rested Kings club as Los Angeles set a playoff record with their eighth straight road win when they wrapped up the Western Conference Final series. These road warriors have now won ten straight playoff road contests – also a record.
