Los Angeles Kings Sweep St. Louis Blues Advance To Finals

As the National Hockey League 2012 Stanley Cup playoffs roll on, no team is rolling along better than the Los Angeles Kings. When the playoffs started, the Kings were the eighth seed – now they have a date in the Conference Final. It’s 1993 all over for the Kings.

As this article goes to post, the Nashville Predators are down 2-0 after two periods against the wily Coyotes in Glendale – with Phoenix holding a 3-1 series lead.

Kings Continue Spoiler Role: Crush Canucks – Blast Blues

Anyone who thought the Los Angeles Kings first round upset of the top seeded Vancouver Canucks was a fluke is now rethinking their position. Los Angeles has been a brilliant story in the 2012 NHL playoffs. That’s because the Kings have advanced to the Western Conference Championship Final after they swept the number two seeded St. Louis Blues in their conference semifinal series.

Great Goaltending + Mounting Offense = Success For The LA Kings

Despite being out-shot 24-19 the Kings won Game Four by a 3-1 final count. With white hot goalie Jonathan Quick, along with lock down team defense, Los Angeles has allowed just 14 goals in their nine NHL 2012 playoff games. The Kings are also starting to score, after they had 15 tallies in four games against the defensive minded St. Louis Blues. We feel that Stanley’s going Hollywood!

Los Angeles Kings versus Phoenix Coyotes in the NHL Western Final was extremely far fetched at the start of the NHL playoffs. Sharp handicappers that bet on it at our top rated online sportsbooks are raking in the dough. The Conference and Stanley Cup Finals are still to come.
