2010 PGA World Golf Rankings of the top 10 golfers.

The first name that comes to mind when I hear ‘PGA’, or just the word ‘Golf’ in general, is Tiger Woods. That being said it only makes sense that he is still ranked #1 in the 2010 PGA World Golf Rankings despite his recent disastrous performances and public humiliation.

Other names that come to mind when discussing the 2010 PGA World Golf Rankings are Phil Mickelson and Ernie Els.

The PGA world golf rankings are based on the average points earned by the golfer in each tournament they play in. Below we have listed the top 10 ranked mens golfers in the PGA and their point averages per tournament.

Tiger Woods – 9.42 Pts. Avg

Phil Mickelson – 8.99 Pts. Avg

Lee Westwood – 8.82 Pts. Avg

Steve Stricker – 7.91 Pts. Avg

Martin Kaymer – 6.80 Pts. Avg

Jim Furyk – 6.78 Pts. Avg

Rory McIlry – 5.93 Pts. Avg

Paul Casey – 5.70 Pts. Avg

Ernie Els – 5.57 Pts. Avg

Matt Kuchar – 5.27 Pts. Avg

Although Tiger Woods has less total points than many of the golfers on this list, Woods averages more points per tournament which makes him currently ranked as the #1 golfer in the world. Pretty good for a guy who’s libido is more potent than a forest full of rabbits.

Watch out for Lee Westwood from England to move up this list as he has already earned 273.95 points in 2010, which more than triples Tiger’s 77.45 points year to date.

Changes abound on the Browns NFL roster for the 2010 season

If you are a fan of the Cleveland Browns, you are a true (long suffering) fan. Who else but a true fan would put up with two winning seasons and a 57-103 record over the past decade from their football team? A Detroit Lions fan would but that’s a story for later in the week.

Online sportsbooks are certainly not fans of the Browns as Cleveland’s total wins are posted at 5.5 (over -120 / under -110) for the 2010 NFL season.

Browns NFL Roster

Changes abound on the Browns NFL roster for the 2010 season and Cleveland is a long shot to win the AFC North with 50/1 odds. Both QB Derek Anderson and QB Brady Quinn were once considered saviors in Cleveland but are now with the Cardinals and Broncos respectively. One ruined the other in the Cleveland as the Browns made a mistake when they traded up (Dallas) to take Quinn with the 22nd pick in the 2007 NFL Draft.

Once they cleared house, the Browns brought in QB Jake Delhomme from Carolina and Senaca Wallace from Seattle to battle for the starting QB job. Delhomme has not been the same since his five interception performance in the 2008 NFC Conference Championship game but he is getting paid way more than Wallace and should win the battle.

Jerome Harrison is trying to hold off rookie running back Montario Hardesty for the starting role in the Browns backfield. The rookie is dealing with a tweaked knee and that is hurting his chances to be the starter and for bettors to capitalize on Hardesty’s +1500 odds to be the NFL Offensive Rookie of The Year. Second year players Brian Robiskie and Mohamed Massaquoi are the projected starters at wide receiver for the Browns. Ben Watson brings Super Bowl experience from his six seasons with the Patriots and will be the starting tight end in Cleveland.

Browns Championship Odds

There’s no question the Browns are rebuilding (still) and it clearly shows as Cleveland is a huge underdog at +7500 to win the AFC Championship.

When you start talking about winning it all the Browns odds go through roof at 100/1 to win Super Bowl XLV in February. The Browns will score some points during the 2010 NFL season but they are in over their heads in the tough AFC North.

The Cincinnati Bengals head into the 2010 NFL season looking for another double digit win season after they finished 10-6 in 2009.

The Cincinnati Bengals head into the 2010 NFL season looking for another double digit win season after they finished 10-6 in 2009. If they pull it off; it will be the first time the Bengals have had back to back, double digit win seasons since 1975 and 1976. It would also put the Bengals well over their predicted 7.5 total wins currently posted at most major online sportsbooks.

If anything, the Bengals will be fun to watch as Chad Ochocinco and Terrell Owens could be the best duo since Belushi and Aykroyd. The competition has already started as this dynamic dual is featured at BetUS.com under an Ochocinco and TO Special.

Bengals 2010 Offense

In addition to the Cincinnati’s version of Batman and Robin, QB Carson Palmer returns for his seventh season as the starter for the Bengals. Palmer never looked comfortable coming back from his 2008 ankle injury and was mediocre at best last season. Many question Palmer’s dwindling arm strength and wonder if he has what it takes for the Bengals to win the AFC North.

An intriguing piece of the Bengals puzzle is rookie tight end Jermaine Gresham who the Bengals selected in the first round (21st OA) of the 2010 NFL Draft. This will be the first time Palmer has ever had a stud TE to throw to in his entire NFL career. Given Palmers lack of arm strength, Gresham will get a lot of looks and could challenge for the NFL 2010 Offensive Rookie of The Year Award.

American Football League Championship

Being in the same division with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens means the Bengals road to the AFC Championship will be fraught with danger. The Bengals are currently sitting as the seventh favorite at +1500 to win the 2011 AFC Championship. Taking a flyer on the Bengals at those odds could be a very profitable proposition.

Bengals Championship Odds

If they can make it out of the extremely tough AFC and win Super Bowl XLV betting on the Bengals at +2500 to win it all will reward the savvy bettor with a very handsome payday!

The Bears are hoping the second season will be the charm for QB Jay Cutler

The Chicago Bears are now three seasons removed from their Super Bowl XLI defeat to the Indianapolis Colts. In those three seasons the Bears have fallen on tough times and have posted a 23-25 combined record.

The Bears are hoping the second season will be the charm for QB Jay Cutler as Chicago mortgaged the farm to get him from the Denver Broncos two years ago. Cutler has a new offensive coordinator in Mike Martz who could help him win the NFL MVP Award at 30/1 odds. Cutler has a strong suppoting cast on offense but we wonder how good the Bears will be on defense.

Bears 2010 Offense

In addition to Cutler, the Bears 2010 offense is loaded with young talent. Chicago is counting on third year running back Matt Forte to bounce back from a disastrous 2009 NFL season. Forte is a key player if the Bears are to win more games than their posted 7.5 win total (over -213 / under +145) during the 2010 NFL season.

With Devin Hester, Johnny Knox, Devin Aromashodu and Rashied Davis, the Bears have one of the fastest receiving cores in the NFL. We expect a breakout year from Knox and that will help the Bears compete for the NFC North Title.

The tight end is primarily used as a blocker in the Mike Martz offense so we don’t see a big year out of TE Greg Olsen. Strong and steady Robbie Gould enters the 2010 season as the unchallenged place kicker in Chicago.

Bears 2010 Championship Odds

Chicago has the talent to challenge in the NFC and the Bears come with profitable odds of +1300 to win the NFC Championship. This is the most talent Mike Martz has coached since he guided the “Greatest Show On Turf” in St. Louis back in the 2003 NFL season.

Bears Super Bowl XLV Odds

The Bears will do what it takes to claw their way back to the Super Bowl. They would love to prove the odds makers wrong who have the Bears odds to win the 2011 Super Bowl XLV posted at 30/1 at most online sports books.

The Panthers 2010 NFL season marks the start of a new era in Carolina

The Panthers 2010 NFL season marks the start of a new era in Carolina. After seven years as the Panthers starting quarterback; Jake Delhomme has moved on to the Cleveland Browns. The Panthers now turn to QB Matt Moore to bring this proud franchise back to respectability. Moore sparked the Panthers in 2009 with four wins in his five starts to close out the season.

Major online sportsbooks are not expecting a big year in Carolina. The Panthers 2010 win total is posted 7.5 with the OVER at +120 and the UNDER -150 at Bodog.com

Carolina Panthers NFL Roster

QB Moore will be joined in the Panthers backfield by running backs DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart who will both be busy during the 2010 NFL season. There are more questions than answers in the Panthers receiving core. WR Steve Smith will be the WR1 and a cast of thousands will battle for the rest of the looks.

Rookie WR Brandon LaFell out of Louisiana State University is currently practicing as the WR2 opposite Smith. The Panthers us their tight ends as blockers more than pass catchers so there isn’t much to report on the TE position. John Kasay will handle the place kicking duties for the Panthers.

It could be another long year in Carolina as the Panthers are listed as the third favorite at +1000 to win the NFC South.

Panthers Championship Outlook

The Panthers are just one season removed from a 12-4 NFC South winning record but it seems like ages ago. Carolina appears to be in a rebuilding mode and they are listed at 25/1 to win the 2010 NFC Championship.

Carolina Panthers Super Bowl XLV Odds

The Carolina defense is good enough to win a few games for Panthers during the 2010 NFL season. If they get productive play out of the quarterback position and control their games with a power running attack, the Panthers could surprise a lot of teams. Odds makers around the world including those at Bookmaker.com would be surprised as well as the Panthers are listed at +7800 to win Super Bowl XLV.

The Buffalo Bills enter the 2010 NFL season as a team without an identity as they seek their first winning season since 2004

The Buffalo Bills enter the 2010 NFL season as a team without an identity as they seek their first winning season since 2004. The Terrell Owens circus has moved onto Cincinnati and the Bills will be led by new Head Coach Chan Gailey. While both positive; neither of those moves has really upgraded the Bills stock as an AFC contender.

The Buffalo Bills NFL 2010 odds to win the AFC East currently sits at a staggering +2000 at Bodog.com.

Buffalo Bills 2010 Roster

The Buffalo Bills have more questions than answers on offense as the 2010 NFL season is now under four weeks away. QB Trent Edwards has a firm grip as the starter but that has more to do with the talent behind him than his own actual talent. The Bills running back depth chart is crowded with rookie CJ Spiller along with incumbents Fred Jackson and Marshawn Lynch all vying for touches.

The odds are set at +800 for CJ Spiller to win the Offensive Rookie of the Award.

Lee Evans takes over as the WR1 in Buffalo but his supporting cast of Steve Johnson, Chad Jackson, Roscoe Parrish and James Hardy are not going to put fear into opposing defenses. The Bills are hoping tight end Shawn Nelson is over his injury plagued 2009 rookie season and PK Rian Lindell is back for his eighth season in Buffalo. Something is wrong when your most consistent offensive performer is your kicker.

Betting On The Buffalo Bills

The Bills are in for another long season as is evident by their 50/1 odds to win the AFC Championship. It’s not hard to argue against those odds unless you believe 1000/1 would be more accurate and enticing.

Buffalo Bills Super Bowl XLV Odds

It’s been 16 years since the Bills last Super Bowl appearance and it’s going to be a while before they get back to the big dance. The bookmakers at BetUs.com obviously feel the same way as Buffalo is currently the second long shot on the board to win Super Bowl XLV with +15000 odds.

Our best advice may be to bet against the Bills during the 2010 NFL season!

Brandon Marshall isn't going to wait around and do nothing if there is a lockout in the NFL next year. He is planning his next career in the NBA. Guess for which team he would like to play?

Don’t count Brandon Marshall as one of the out of work players if the NFL owners lock them out next season.

He isn’t going to wait around and do nothing. Speaking to ESPN.com’s Adam Schefter, Marshal said he believes that there won’t be a 2011 season and he intends to play in the NBA.

Marshall was adamant about this being more than a possibility saying, “”Not pursuing — I’m going to be on an NBA team. Seriously.”

Online Sportsbook Bodog quickly came out with prop bet and odds for Marshalls’ pipedream:

Brandon Marshall on the Miami Heat?

Marshall didn’t play basketball in college but says he could be a professional shooting guard and he has two teams in mind. The Denver Nuggets are his first choice and is completely a cathartic pick. “I figure the Nuggets will be a better choice because of the welcome home cheer I’ll get,” Marshall said explaining he first choice.

But apparently Chris Bosh and Lebron James aren’t the only stars that want to play with Dwayne Wade. The newly acquired Miami Dolphin said that the Miami Heat “are my second team.”

The last time Marshall played organized basketball was his junior and senior year at Lake Howell High School in Florida. His former coach, Steve Kohn, said “he would’ve projected to be one heck of a basketball player.”

So what was Coach Kohn’s favorite moment of Marshall’s basketball career? It came during the high school’s slam dunk contest. Marshall put a can of Pepsi on the rim of the hoop and attempted to drink it on his way down. Though he didn’t pull the feat off, Kohn said, “He was getting there.”

There's no question that the Atlanta Falcons best chance to win in 2010 revolves around their big four on offense.

There’s no question that the Atlanta Falcons best chance to win in 2010 revolves around their big four on offense. The backfield is led by third year quarterback Matt Ryan and sixth year running back Michael Turner. QB Chris Redman will back up Ryan and Turner will be spelled from time to time by RB Jerious Norwood.

An interesting NFL player proposition bet has QB Matt Ryan at a colossal +3000 to win the 2010-11 NFL regular season MVP Award.

Atlanta Falcons 2010 Roster

Wide receiver Roddy White is entering his sixth season with the Falcons and all world tight end Tony Gonzalez rounds out the big four. Michael Jenkins is the projected WR-2 in Atlanta while the Falcons are hoping often injured WR Harry Douglas will have a major impact as the WR-3 during the 2010 NFL season. Matt Bryant and Steven Hauschka will battle to win the starting place kicker job.

This is a solid roster as is evident by the Falcons win total of 9.5 set at the Bookmaker.com sportsbook.

The Ravens offense will compete with their defense for the headlines during the 2010 NFL season.

The face of the Baltimore Ravens has always been a punishing defense but now they have a bona-fide Pro Bowl wide receiver in the mix on the offense. WR Anquan Boldin comes over from the Arizona Cardinals and will be an instant weapon for third year quarterback Joe Flacco.

Boldin will be a fantastic fit across from the steady but aging WR Derrick Mason. The Ravens offense will compete with their defense for the headlines during the 2010 NFL season.

This is the consensus at major online sportsbooks as the Ravens are listed at 11/2 odds to win the 2011 AFC Championship.

Baltimore Ravens 2010 Roster

Running backs Ray Rice and Willis McGahee along with fullback Le’Ron McClain are all back for the 2010 NFL season. Rookie RB Jalen Parmele could unseat McGahee to spell Rice but this is one of best backfields in the NFL. Todd Heap is in his tenth season as the Ravens starting tight end while Billy Cundiff and Shane Graham are battling for the starting place kicking job.
